If you go
Enter beside Lianglukou metro Exit 4 and keep a small fare ready. It is functional transit, not a staged attraction, so stand to one side and keep moving.

iChongqing lists Eighteen Steps among the historic landmarks explored during the April stream. It is the route’s clearest place to experience the stairways linking Chongqing’s upper and lower city.
If you go
Start near Jiaochangkou and walk downhill. The public lanes stay open late, but individual museums, shops, and food stalls keep their own hours.

Jiefangbei

China Daily reports that the more-than-six-hour Chongqing livestream began at Jiefangbei, the pedestrian center and landmark monument at the heart of Yuzhong.
If you go
Use the monument as your meeting point. The surrounding walking streets are useful for food, shopping, and a short reset before the tightly grouped downtown stops.

If you go
Walk in from Linjiangmen, then follow the square to the railings and bridges. Keep to public areas and avoid leaning over edges for a photo.

The best exterior view is from across the road or on Qiansimen Bridge after the lights come on. Expect dense evening crowds and slow lifts inside.

Book ahead when possible and confirm which terminal fits your route. One-way tickets are often easier to schedule than a same-terminal return during peak hours.

If you go
Arrive before sunset to understand the confluence, then stay for the skyline lights. Wayfinding inside the Raffles City complex can take longer than the map suggests.

China Daily reports that Speed took an evening cruise with Chongqing’s illuminated skyline in view. The exact boat operator is not consistently named, so the app maps the public Chaotianmen boarding area.
If you go
Treat this as a ticketed evening activity and compare current sailing times. Arrive early because boarding gates and piers can change with river conditions.

The 112-meter escalator
The Crown Escalator is still part of the city’s transport system, so the viral ride is also an ordinary local commute.

China Daily reported Speed trying the spicy-sweet Chongqing snack. Vendors and flavors change, so we map the district rather than inventing an exact stall.
The neon river finale
Chaotianmen and the Two Rivers cruise reproduce the after-dark skyline views that closed out the reported route.
